Restaurant Loft in Potsdam

We stopped here for dinner with a group of 6 people without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a free table. The view from the top of the restaurant is nice, even if it was already dark. The ambience is also very nice. The food is not cheap, but was well worth the money. The service was also very good.

You could sit there very well and had a great view of Potsdam. The food, on the other hand, wasn't very tasty. The meat was dry and therefore not very enjoyable. Staff were very friendly. I would not recommend going there.

Today we were in the loft, actually a nice restaurant. There were only a few guests there, and it took forever until our order was taken. The service was friendly but didn't pay any attention to us after serving. When we wanted to pay, there was no response to repeated waving. At some point we put the money on the table and left. Even that did not attract any attention. Not again!

The starter (gratinated goat cheese) and the main course (penne with chanterelles) were excellent

Watch out! We were there on Sunday, first of all you stood 15 minutes before someone offered you a table. Next, since you sat down, you sat for 18 minutes and waited for someone to serve you, we were about to get up. Here you think the operator doesn't need it! 2 waiters and 4 tables full, seriously? If the store is already overwhelmed, what should happen when 50 people are sitting there. Thanks, but not recommended! 1 star only because the view is good, but since it is only leased, you have to give the praise to the owner!

Unfortunately, I can only give the loft one star, because, despite a reservation, other guests had to be transferred before we could take a seat. The photos of the loft also seem out of date, because it is no longer so beautiful there. Roof terrace tiles with cavities underneath have made the waiter falter at one point or another. After half an hour the waiter came "immediately" and took the order, after another half an hour the drinks came "immediately", around 7pm we placed the order and around 8:15 pm the food came. The waiter smelled slightly of alcohol and looked drunk, so I didn't want to tip. The Prussian goulash costs € 21.90 there, but I got € 8 from € 30. I won't be back because the waiting time was just too long for me, the plate was warmer than the food and the waiter couldn't or didn't want to settle accounts properly, and all of this although it wasn't full. What a shame....

The food was tasteless and carelessly arranged. The meal was served by an unfriendly waitress. Warning: some of the non-alcoholic drinks have the same names as the alcoholic ones. If you get the wrong drink, the guest is to blame and you are left with the costs - you can wait a long time for understanding, a constructive solution or even a hint when ordering. The food is also completely overpriced. You can eat better for the money. The otherwise good location doesn't change that either.

The food was really great. I had pasta chanterelles. Fresh pasta with chanterelles, chilli, cherry tomatoes and onions. To drink alcohol-free Cuba Libre, which was also very tasty. The prices are high, but reasonable. I was there with my boyfriend and was unfortunately ignored and not really taken for granted. Probably because we don't "look for money". The friendliness also left a lot to be desired, although the restaurant wasn't really full. The view is great on the terrace. I would still recommend the restaurant.

Great restaurant above the roofs of Potsdam. Exquisite menu with fine delicacies. We had meat, fish and vegetarian dishes ... it was perfect ❗ If you want to experience a nice and exquisite evening in a cozy atmosphere, you should go to the "Loft". A "must" for lovers of culinary delights.

I have already been to the restaurant several times and always feel very comfortable there. The service is very friendly and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is also very nice and rounds off the food very well.

I'll come to you again. Even if renovation work was going on during ongoing operations, no hectic rush could be seen. The food was tasty and plentiful. The service is friendly and courteous. Thank you.

Wonderful view from the roof terrace over Potsdam. A great experience on mild summer evenings. In addition, there is a very good kitchen with just the right number of very special dishes for every taste. And a nice, attentive service. Highly recommended restaurant!

Waiter was a bit rude, seams not happy, i guess did not like us for some reason. Anyways, we left without trying anything just because of the waiter. Therefore I do not recommend this place.

The lady who served us that day was so super friendly and greeted us with a smile on her face. The food was also very tasty, we would love to come back!

You pay for the rooftop view over downtown Potsdam, which is admittedly lovely. The servers were very friendly but prices have gone up steeply recently, and the quality of this meal didn't justify the increase. I ordered the Rinderfilet a la Strindberg (€22.60) with buttered peas and potato croquettes. The beef and croquettes were just about OK but the buttered peas were obviously deep frozen, hard and not quite done. Two-and-a-half stars.

Location very convenient for an instant lunchtime, will be visiting again. Our table have been set aside for my sister's birthday, she really was thrilled and the venue looked wonderful. Freshly cooked meals made with high quality ingredients. You really can taste the food quality, my sister and I were definitely extremely impressed. Great value for money And superb food too! Hardly ever disappointed with the food And for the quality the prices are amazing as well. The personnel were definitely immaculately dressed and it was clear they understood their particular job very well.

The best Blutwurst in town. Maybe the best in the country? Loft is a little bit of an exaggeration. Feels more like visiting a good friend at home. Super nice waitress!

The restaurant is on the third floor in a pedestrian zone in Potsdam. The view is not spectacular, but the muted buzz from the street below and the view over the rooftops allows the eyes and the mind to wander. On a warm summer evening the perfect place for good food and long talks. The food is very well prepared and arranged. There are vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. The food tends a bit towards Mediterranean / Italian mixed with local specialities like Zander (a fish). The service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. I will definitely go there again.

The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor off a building on the main shopping street. The outdoor seating on their rooftop terrace is amazing, opening up beautiful views of Potsdam. The food also very delicious, I tried their Wiener schnitzel with local mushrooms that were in season. Would highly recommend this place!

We were ignored for twenty minutes without being able to order. We paid for our drinks and left. Can't comment on the food.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Potsdam. In the summer it is so nice on the large terrace but inside the restaurant it is also very comfortable and nicely decorated, the service is super friendly. Priced, I would say, it is already upscale, but the plate is full and it always tastes very good :) and as a little tip: the homemade lemonades are awesome, absolute addictiveness! Do you have to try :)

Very friendly staff, great German food. It was a bit too cold to sit on the rooftop terrace, but we'll be back surely and hope for better weather.

We always go there with our family. One of the few places where we always get a super delicious vegetarian dish! Very friendly staff, prices are ok too. The location on the roof top with a nice view over Potsdam is great too. Also more quiet compared to restaurants on the Brandenburger Str. Last time I had the best pumpkin carrot curry ever! Meat dishes are also great according to my family😊

we were there a few days ago. the only thing I could say is that the staff were friendly, beer was fine, however, the food was terrible. we intended to order three dishes: their very special goulash, pork knuckle, kids pork rib. the goulash was nothing like that of hungary, which the waiter told us before we made the order. it was nicely presented with a flower made from thin sliced carrot. but there were only 4 chunks of beef, cooked like dry wood, their special sauce did not help at all. all that for 17.50 euro, a total waste of money. the pork knuckle we specifically communicated with the host and we were seemingly understood. however, by the time the dish was brought up it was a bowl of mash potato with some fried onion rings on top. we were profoundly confused. the price was 6.5 euro. the kids fried pork rib was in a decent size, with green peas, fries, and a big piece of fried pork rib. all for 7.80 euro. however, the rib was so dry it tasted like a piece of wood. we left the place very confused.
